The Galaxy A70 has just gotten a new “s” update and it is now on sale in India. The Samsung Galaxy A70s receives the new geometric pattern and holographic effect design like the current A50s, and it also gets a massive upgrade for its main camera.
Instead of a 32MP f/1.7 main camera, the upgraded A70s is now equipped with a 64MP f/1.8 main shooter which is likely to be a Samsung GW1 ISOCELL sensor that’s being used on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. According to Samsung, the device also gets Super Steady mode to shoot action videos and there’s also Night Mode for extreme low light situations.
It also comes with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, it still retains a 32MP front camera.
The rest of the hardware remains unchanged. Upfront it still gets a 6.7″ Full HD+ Infinity-U display that has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 675 with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Powering the large-screen smartphone is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W Super Fast Charging via USB-C.
In India, the Samsung Galaxy A70s with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is going for INR 28,999 (about RM1,725) while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at INR 30,999 (about RM1,843). The Indian market model gets Samsung Pay and hopefully, Samsung Malaysia will include it as well when it arrives at our local market.
The original Galaxy A70 was launched in Malaysia for RM1,999. It comes with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage but unfortunately, it didn’t come with Samsung Pay. Samsung Malaysia has already slashed the price to RM1,799 but you can probably get it for under RM1,500 through some retailers.
