Xiaomi to unveil two new flagship 5G smartphones on 24th September

Xiaomi is having a product launch event next week which will unveil two new flagship smartphones. This will include a higher-spec Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro along with a new successor to the futuristic Mi MIX lineup.

From the official tweet, it appears that both devices would be 5G enabled. The first device is the Mi 9 Pro that will support an insane 30W fast wireless charging. This would also be their first device to support reverse fast charging and it could do a higher 10W output. According to early TENAA certification listing, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro would be running on a Snapdragon 855+ processor.

The other new device is expected to be the Mi MIX 4 and it is speculated to feature a 108MP main camera from Samsung. The current Mi MIX 3 comes with a sexy slider mechanism and it would be interesting to see what Xiaomi does next for their flagship “experimental” phone. The launch event is happening in Beijing at 2:00pm local time.
