Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s: Malaysia’s most affordable Samsung Pay smartphones

The Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s have finally landed in Malaysia. Not only these are refreshed models for the current Galaxy A30 and A50 but they are also upgraded with better cameras and finally has support for Samsung Pay. This allows you to use your smartphone to pay at Visa Paywave and Mastercard Paypass terminals—Samsung tells us that both the A50s and the A30s support NFC for Samsung Pay, although MST payments are not supported.

The Galaxy A30s is officially priced at RM899 while the Galaxy A50s is going for RM1,299. Both will be available from 21st September onwards via official Samsung channels and you can have it in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White and Prism Crush Green. If compared to its predecessor, both are priced RM100 more than the Galaxy A30 and A50 that were launched earlier this year.

Galaxy A30s

The Galaxy A30s features a 6.4″ HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-V display and according to the spec-sheet it runs on a Dual 1.8GHz + Hexa 1.6GHz Exynos 7904 processor with 4GB RAM + 64GB of storage.

For imaging, it gets a 25MP + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP depth camera, while the front comes with a 16MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging via USB-C.

Galaxy A50s

The Galaxy A50s also comes with a 6.4″ Super AMOLED display but it pushes a higher Full HD+ resolution with an Infinity-U notch. It runs on an Exynos 9611 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Like the Galaxy A30s, it also gets a triple-card slot that allows you to use both SIM cards and a microSD card simultaneously.

For taking pictures, it gets a 48MP f/2.0 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies, it gets a higher-resolution 32MP front camera. The device also gets a 4,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging also via USB-C.
