HTC U11 finally gets Android Pie in Malaysia

Just when Android 10 starts rolling out today, HTC has finally pushed its Android 9.0 Pie update for the U11 in Malaysia. This is the second major software update since the phone was released two years ago with Android 7.1.

According to HTC Malaysia, the software update is 1.49GB in size and it is recommended that you perform a backup before you proceed with the update. Apart from the new enhancements that come with Android 9.0 Pie, the changelog also mentions that Google+ has been removed from BlinkFeed.

The Android 9.0 Pie rollout is very much delayed from its original schedule. It was supposed to be pushed to the U11 starting from May but instead, the U11+ got it first last month. If you haven’t received any update notifications, you can check manually under Settings > About > Software updates.
