The Motorola One Action which was announced a few days ago has just gotten the green light from SIRIM. This is their new Android One smartphone that comes with a dedicated ultra-wide action camera.
The device with the model number XT2013-2 was listed on SIRIM a few days ago and it comes with dual-SIM support. It supports a variety of LTE bands which include 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz and 2600MHz, and it also supports 5GHz 802.11ac WiFi.
We still don’t know when it will go on sale in Malaysia, but it could be happening soon. Motorola Malaysia currently has an official online store on Shopee and Lazada.
To recap, the Motorola One Action features a 6.3″ 21:9 Full HD+ IPS display and it runs on an Exynos 9609 octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM. Onboard, it comes with 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card.
In the imaging department, it has a 12MP f/1.8 main camera, a 5MP depth sensor and a dedicated 16MP action-camera that has a wide 117-degree field of view. The camera allows you to capture horizontal footage when you’re holding the phone vertically. Although the main 12MP camera can shoot in 4K, the action-camera is only limited to Full HD resolution.
Powering the device is a 3,500mAh battery and it supports 10W charging via USB-C. Out of the box, it runs on Android 9 Pie and it also comes with three years of monthly security updates under the Android One program.
