Black Shark 2 Pro is officially coming to Malaysia on 3rd September

Xiaomi-backed Black Shark is bringing its latest gaming smartphone to Malaysia very soon. The brand has dropped a teaser via Facebook indicating that its new Black Shark 2 Pro is launching in Kuala Lumpur on 3rd September 2019.

The Black Shark 2 Pro is an updated version of the Black Shark 2 that comes with a higher clocked Snapdragon 855+ processor and faster UFS 3.0 storage. The device also comes with new RGB lighting strips at the rear.

The rest of the device is pretty much the same as the current Black Shark 2. It still comes with a 6.39″ Full HD+ AMOLED display while the rear retains a 48MP f/1.8 main + 12MP f/2.2 telephoto camera. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging via USB-C.

If you can’t wait, the Black Shark 2 Pro import set is now available in Malaysia. Retailer Mobile2Go is offering the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage model for RM2,298. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is going for RM2,598.

If you’re looking for a gaming device with a better display and a larger battery, the ROG Phone 2 by Asus is expected to arrive officially by end of September 2019. However, do expect it to carry a higher price tag than the Black Shark 2 Pro.
