Samsung has just announced the Galaxy A10s which is an update to its current budget-friendly Galaxy A10. While it retains a similar 6.2″ display, the A10s comes with a larger battery and a dual-camera setup.
According to Samsung’s spec-sheet, the Galaxy A10s has a 6.2″ HD+ TFT display and it runs on an Octa-core processor (likely MediaTek Helio P22). The device is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
For taking pictures, it has a 13MP f/1.8 main camera and a secondary 2MP f/2.4 camera for bokeh effects. There’s also an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera that’s housed on the V-shaped notch. Powering the device is a larger 4,000mAh battery and out of the box it runs on Android 9.0 Pie.
Another upgrade for the A10s is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which was missing on the Galaxy A10. The device also supports Face unlock as well. So far there are no pricing and availability details just yet. As a reference, the current Galaxy A10 is officially priced at RM499 in Malaysia.
