It appears that you can finally purchase the Honor 20 Pro in Malaysia starting next week. This is Honor’s top-of-the-line flagship smartphone that has a capable quad-camera setup with dual-OIS.
At the time of posting, Honor Malaysia has not revealed its official pricing and release date just yet. However, the device is already listed on Honor Malaysia’s online store on Shopee with the sale starting on 14th August 2019 at 11:59PM. This indicates that the device may officially be on sale on the 15th August which is next Thursday.
The Honor 20 Pro is listed with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, and the device comes in two colours – Phantom Blue and Phantom Black.
The new device shares a lot of similarities with the standard Honor 20 model. However, there are a couple of notable upgrades, especially in the camera and battery department. Although it features the same 48MP Sony IMX586 camera for the main shooter, the Honor 20 Pro model has a wide aperture of f/1.4 with OIS. The device also gets an 8MP telephoto camera that offers 3X optical zoom and it’s also assisted with OIS. It also retains a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro shooter. With this setup, DxOMark Mobile has given it a score of 111 points, which is still the 2nd highest score at the moment beating the Galaxy S10+.
Apart from that, the device also comes with a larger 4,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W SuperCharge charging via USB-C. The Honor 20 Pro features a 6.26″ Full HD+ punch-hole display and it’s also running on a Kirin 980 processor.
The standard Honor 20 is currently priced at RM1,699 with a configuration of 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage. If you need a larger device, the Honor View 20 has recently gotten a massive price cut and you can get it from as low as RM1,499 for the base model.
