Honor 20 Pro will be available in Malaysia in August

You can purchase the higher-spec Honor 20 flagship smartphone in our market very soon. Honor Malaysia has just confirmed that the Honor 20 Pro will be coming to Malaysia next month, in August.

In case you missed it, the Honor 20 Pro is currently Honor’s best performing smartphone camera and it has a DxOMark Mobile score of 111. This is currently the second-highest score and it is just one point below the Huawei P30 Pro.

To recap, the Honor 20 Pro has a 6.26″ Full HD+ display that has a punch-hole selfie camera on the top left corner. It runs on a Kirin 980 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

For taking pictures, it gets a 48MP main camera with an industry-largest f/1.4 aperture. There’s also a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom and a 2MP shooter for macro shots. Both the main and telephoto cameras also come with optical image stabilisation.

Powering the Pro model is a larger 4,000mAh battery and it also supports 22.5W SuperCharge technology via USB-C. Do note that the Honor 20 Pro doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and it also lacks a microSD card expansion. For instant unlocking, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

We still don’t know its official pricing yet but we reckon that it could be priced around the RM2,000 range. The Honor 20 Pro will be covered by a 2-year warranty if it’s purchased by 30th September 2019.

As a reference, the standard Honor 20 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at RM1,699, while the Honor View 20 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is currently going for RM1,999.
