Vivo S1 Malaysia: Everything you need to know

Vivo Malaysia has officially announced the S1, their new mid-range device that’s big on display and battery. Pre-orders are currently available and the device will be on sale beginning 27 July 2019.

The Vivo S1 features a 6.38” Full HD+ display that utilises a Super AMOLED panel. It has a tiny notch at the top that houses a 32MP selfie camera. The screen has an optical based in-display fingerprint sensor and it also comes with a colour Always-On Display feature that can show the time on the screen when the device is in sleep mode.

Powering the S1 is a Mediatek Helio P65 processor that’s paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. If you need more, the device also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion.

In the imaging department, the S1 comes with a triple-camera array at the rear. It has a 16MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP depth camera for bokeh effects.

One of the main highlights is its huge 4,500mAh battery that supports Vivo’s 18W dual-engine fast charge technology. It still uses a microUSB cable for charging and data transfer. Out of the box, it runs on FunTouch OS 9 that’s based on Android 9 Pie.

The Vivo S1 is officially priced at RM1,099 and it comes in two colours – Diamond Black and Skyline Blue.
