Here’s how to redeem an extra one year warranty for your new Honor smartphone

As reported yesterday, Honor Malaysia is now offering two years warranty for its latest range of Honor smartphones. This is applicable to selected models which include the Honor View 20, Honor 20 Lite, Honor 20 and the upcoming Honor 20 Pro.

To redeem your extended warranty, just launch the HiCare application which is installed on your Honor smartphone. You should be able to see an “Extended Warranty Plan” banner as pictured above and you can tap on it to continue.

Depending on which version you’re own, a HiCare software update might be required. A registered ID is also required to redeem the extended warranty.

Do note that this is only applicable for devices that are purchased between 22 July to 30 September 2019. According to Honor, this extended warranty will provide extensive protection against repair costs with Honor official maintenance standards and 100% original spare parts.
