Redmi has a dual-input 20,000mAh power bank that’s priced under RM60

Xiaomi has always been known for its cheap and good power bank. Now there’s a more affordable option as they have unveiled its Redmi branded power banks. The power banks are available in either 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacity, and both can be charged with either a USB-C or micro-USB cable.

The 20,000mAh power bank is priced at 99CNY (around RM59) and it comes with two full-sized USB-A port that supports 18W fast charging output. If you charge using a single port, it can support 5.1V 2.4A, 9V 2A and 12V 1.5A charging. When both ports are in use, it pushes a combined 5.1V 3.6A output.

If you need to replenish the power bank, you can recharge it quickly with a compatible 18W fast charger. It supports power input of 5V 2.1A, 9V 2.1A or 12V 1.5A. Since this is a no-frills power bank, it doesn’t come with any cable included. At the moment, it is only available from the online Mi Store in China.

For a more budget alternative, there’s also a 10,000mAh Redmi Power bank that also comes with two USB-A output and it accepts both USB-C and micro-USB input.

Unlike the 20,000mAh model, this version only supports a standard 10W charging. It has a maximum output rating of 5.1V 2.4A and a maximum input charging of 5V 2.1A. The 10,000mAh power bank is officially priced at 59CNY which is about RM35.

Like most Mi Power banks, the Redmi branded bricks come with multi-layer safety protection that’s designed to prevent overheating and overcharging. At the moment, it isn’t officially sold here but it is likely that you’ll be able to find one through grey importers very soon.
