Full specs of the Honor 9X and 9X Pro revealed ahead of launch

Honor’s latest pop-up selfie smartphone duo, the Honor 9X and 9X Pro will be launched tomorrow. Ahead of its announcement, the full hardware specs have been revealed thanks to leakster Ishan Agarwal.

As seen earlier in China’s TENAA certification listing, the Honor 9X duo will come with a 6.59″ Full HD+ display and it features an all-screen LCD panel that has no notches or punch-holes. The devices will be running on the latest 7nm Kirin 810 processor and according to Ishan, both models will also come with a large 4,000mAh battery.

On the standard Honor 9X, the device will feature a dual-camera setup which consists of a 48MP f/1.8 main camera and a secondary 2MP shooter for depth effects. For selfies, the device will come with a 16MP f/2.2 front camera that uses a motorised pop-up module.

In terms of RAM and storage configurations, the standard model will come with a minimum of 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and it can go up to 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.

For the Honor 9X Pro, it is quite identical to the standard model except that it comes with a triple-camera setup. In addition to the 48MP f/1.8 main and 2MP depth camera, the Pro model also gets an 8MP camera which is likely to be used for ultra-wide-angle. According to Ishan, the Honor 9X Pro will get an added Liquid cooling system, which sounds like a big plus for mobile mobiles. On top of that, the device is said to come with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

Interestingly, if you look closely at the bottom of the devices, it appears that both models will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack which is good news if you plan on using your existing headphones. Similar to the Honor 20 series, the new mid-range devices will also come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which also doubles up as a power button.

We will find out more tomorrow and the event will be taking place at Xi’an in China.
