The Pixel 4 series has already been subject to several leaks—earlier, renders by well-known leakster, Steve H. Mcfly (@Onleaks) shared a few high-res renders of the upcoming Pixel 4 XL via Pricebaba. We found out that the larger Pixel will come with a conventional “Full View” display which comes with a thick forehead, along with a dual-selfie camera setup which is likely to be a main + wide-angle shooter.
And now, more information is available with regards to the smaller Google Pixel 4. Ice Universe, another prolific leakster, Tweeted an image of what appears to be screen protectors for the upcoming Pixel 4.
If you look closely, you can see 3 cutouts on the left, which suggests that the front-facing setup of the Pixel 4 will feature 2 regular cameras, along with an advanced facial recognition sensor. The cutout in the middle is presumably for the earpiece, while the cutout on the right seems rather mysterious.
It appears that the Pixel 4 will indeed have a large forehead and chin bezels, as expected from past renders of the phone. In addition to that, Onleaks has shared a few high-res renders of the Pixel 4 which seemingly confirms the leak—have a look:
One of the biggest talking points, when it comes to the upcoming Google Pixel phones, is the possible implementation of motion-sensing technology called Project Soli. The tech uses radar to sense fine movement above it, and could potentially be the reason that Google has gone with such a big upper and lower lip on the device. It might look a whole lot different than current flagship smartphones in the market today, but Google has never really followed trends when it comes to their Pixel phones anyway.
