Samsung Galaxy Note 10 leak shows just how fast it will be

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has already been the subject of leaks left, right, and centre. And for good reason—the upcoming flagship from Samsung is one of the most eagerly-anticipated releases as we draw towards the end of 2019, along with Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro.

So we know that the Galaxy Note 10 will probably come with a vertically aligned triple-camera setup, while the smartphone could also feature a centrally-placed punch-hole selfie camera.

But notable leakster, Ice Universe, recently posted a screenshot of the Note 10’s Geekbench’s scores on Twitter that shows what Samsung’s new Exynos 9825 SoC can do—and it’s pretty impressive.

While it stops short of reaching the scores of the current top-line iPhones (4798 single-core score for the A12-powered XS Max), the benchmarks show how Samsung’s Exynos processors are closing the gap between Samsung’s Exynos-powered smartphones and their Apple counterparts.

In both single-core and multi-core tests, the Galaxy Note 10 outscored Samsung’s current powerhouse, the Galaxy S10 (4,298 single-core, 9,776 multi-core). This is especially notable for the fact that the Exynos 9820-powered Galaxy S10 is amongst the highest scorers in its Android class.

It’s worth remembering that Galaxy Note 10 smartphones that will be sold in the U.S. will probably be powered by the Snapdragon 855, although units sold outside the U.S. should have the Exynos 9825 processor under the hood. At the moment, Geekbench rankings have the Exynos-powered S10 as the top scorer for Android single-core performance, which makes the upcoming Note 10 even more exciting.
