PSA: Selangor residents to experience water shortage for 4 days

Water concessionaire, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), has warned Selangor residents that they will experience major water disruptions from the 23rd of July up till the 26th of July. The shortage is due to work being done on the LRA SSP1 Sungai Selangor treatment plant that will improve the water supply to Selangor, Putrajaya, and Kuala Lumpur.

According to a press release from Syabas, residents in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, and Kuala Selangor will experience scheduled water shortages due to “the full shutdown of the plant”. However, the scheduled times for supply interruptions and restorations will be different from area to area, depending on “geographical location and altitude of customers’ premises”.

There will be 15 Local Service Centres (LSCs) that will be set up to provide assistance at 8am on the 25th of July, while the public can also visit Syabas, head to this link, or follow Air Selangor on Facebook and Twitter to find out more. You can also download their app on the Google Play Store or the App Store for iOS devices.
