Xiaomi will officially introduce the Mi A3 this coming Wednesday

In less than two weeks after introducing the CC series in China, Xiaomi is announcing yet another new smartphone but this time it’s for the global market. If you’ve been following the teasers, this new device is the Android One powered Mi A3. Based on Xiaomi’s tweets in the European market, the device is expected to be officially announced as early as 17th July 2019.

Xiaomi Spain had tweeted that the Mi A3 will arrive on the 17th of July and it will offer everything you need from Android with the advantage of a Xiaomi device. However, in France, it appears that the Mi A3 will be released a day later as it hinted 18th July as the day of glory has arrived.

At the moment, we believe that Mi A3 stocks should be ready in most European markets. Even in Malaysia, retailer Mobile2Go is already accepting orders for the import set before it is officially announced. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is currently going for RM1,098.

The Mi A3 features a 6.088″ AMOLED display that comes with a tiny notch at the top. For quicker access, the device also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will run on a Snapdragon 665 processor and features a triple-camera setup that has a 48MP main camera. The Mi A3 is be powered by a 4,030mAh battery which charges via USB-C. Unlike the Mi A2, the new model will come with a microSD card expansion and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

So far, there’s still no word about its official availability in Malaysia. Stay tuned to us for the latest update.
