These official Galaxy Note 10+ images reveal a couple of interesting design details

For the very first time, Samsung will be announcing a larger Note+ model with its upcoming Galaxy Note 10. Apart from having a larger display and battery, the Galaxy Note 10+ will get a different camera setup, and here’s how it looks like in its full glory thanks to clear renders from multiple sources.

The above image was revealed by prolific leakster, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks). This confirms the device as the Galaxy Note 10+ instead of its previously speculated name of Galaxy Note 10 Pro.

A few days ago, another reliable leakster, Ishan Agarwal, had posted high-resolution images of the Galaxy Note 10+ which gives us a clearer look at the rear cameras. There’s a triple-camera array on the camera bump but if you look closely next to it, there’s another camera which appears to be a 3D Depth sensor. Since there’s no physical fingerprint sensor at the back, the new Note is expected to feature an ultra-sonic based in-display fingerprint sensor.

Another noticeable difference for the Galaxy Note 10+ is the lack of a heart rate sensor, a feature which was included as standard since the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 4. If you need to monitor your heart rate, you’re gonna need a smartwatch which I think is better.

Serial leakster Roland Quandt had also shared more renders of the device and we get to see the side profile for both left and right. Traditionally, Samsung has a power button on the right while the left comes with a volume rocker and an additional Bixby button.

Based on the renders, it appears that Samsung is killing the Bixby button and they have moved the power/wake button to the left side. This provides the right side of the device a cleaner appearance while the metal frame on the left side gets a slightly expanded area where the side buttons are located.

Personally, I would have prefered it if Samsung puts all the buttons on the right side of the device. Most people I know would lay their devices on the left side when watching videos in landscape mode and the button placements may cause accidental presses.

Of course, what is a Note if it doesn’t come with an S Pen stylus? Although the design looks pretty much the same as the Galaxy Note9, it seems that Samsung is adding a glossy layer and it comes with a dual-tone colour scheme.

If you’re hoping for an integrated camera on the S Pen, unfortunately, you’re not getting it on the Galaxy Note 10+. We also noticed that the new stylus doesn’t carry any Samsung branding like its predecessor.

At the moment, the Galaxy Note 10+ appears to be coming in two colour options – SIlver Prism and Black. In terms of specs, it is said to be coming with a larger 6.75″ Quad HD+ display that has a single punch-hole on the top centre of the screen. Powering the device is either a Snapdragon 855 processor or a newer Exynos 9825 processor with at least 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Looking at the current top-spec Galaxy S10+, you can probably expect a higher spec 12GB RAM + 1TB storage variant as well.

To power up the larger screen, the Galaxy Note 10+ is expected to come with a larger 4,500mAh battery and it could support an even quicker 45W fast charger via USB-C. Roland Quandt has also recently confirmed that the Galaxy Note 10 is capable of 20W fast wireless charging and the device could come with a pair of USB-C based ANC headphones.

The Galaxy Note 10 series launch is taking place in New York early next month and we expect the device to go on sale in Malaysia as early as the end of August.
