Shopee also offers a full refund for Huawei devices if it loses access to Google Mobile Services

Shopee has just announced an App Protection Warranty for Huawei devices in a bid to address consumers’ concerns with regards to Google Play Store and services. Similar to other retailers, Shopee customers will receive a full refund if popular apps including Google Play Store, Gmail, Google map, Chrome, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp fail to function during its warranty period.

The App Protection Warranty is valid for purchases made via Shopee retailers between 1st July to 30th September 2019. It is applicable to the following models:

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Huawei Nova 3i

Huawei Y5 Prime 2018
Huawei Y6 2018
Huawei Y7 Pro 2019

According to Shopee, this full refund program is made possible in partnership with leading smartphone retailers and distributors. In the event the device fails to access Google Play Store and other Android applications, customers can seek a refund by presenting the original purchase receipt to the respective retailers/distributors for further action.

Shopee is also offering an extra RM30 rebate with the promo code JULMOBILE30 with a minimum spend of RM1,000 in the Mobile and Gadget category. This is valid from 1st to 31st July 2019.

As announced today, Huawei has announced a RM400 price cut for the P30 and P30 Pro. The P30 with 128GB of storage is priced at RM2,299 while the P30 Pro with 256GB storage is going for RM3,399. The Chinese smartphone maker is also offering a two-year warranty for new devices purchased between 1st July to 30th September 2019.
