Here’s when your Huawei and Honor smartphones are getting EMUI 9.1 update

Huawei has begun rolling out its latest EMUI 9.1 update for both Huawei and Honor branded devices. The new OS version was released with the Huawei P30 series and it brings a host of improvements including a new file system that offers better random read performance.

Apart from the Huawei Mate 20 series, Huawei Malaysia has revealed its list of supported devices and it even includes older models like the Huawei P10 from 2017. You can check out the full rollout schedule below.

Honor

Honor is also pushing out EMUI 9.1 updates for its range of devices starting from August 2019 onward. This includes the Honor 8 Pro and Honor 7X. For newer devices, the operating system has been renamed to Magic UI and the latest 2.1 version is now being pushed to the Honor View20. This is the same version as the latest Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro.

To check for updates, you can go to Settings > System > Software Update and tap on the “Check for Updates” button. Alternatively, you can go to the HiCare Update and go into the Update section.
