eSIM is now available for Digi customers

Digi is finally offering eSIM for the latest iPhone models. This will enable the device’s dual-SIM feature and you don’t have to mess around with a physical SIM card.

Digi’s eSIM is now available for existing Digi Postpaid, Prepaid and Broadband customers. New Postpaid customers are also eligible to get an eSIM including those that are porting in. At the moment, the eSIM feature is currently compatible with the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR, and more devices will be supported in the future. To enable it, all you’ll need is to scan a QR code and the device must be running on iOS 12.2 and above.

According to its FAQ, the Digi eSIM is free for a limited time and you can get it at participating Digi Stores nationwide. Unfortunately, the eSIM is not offered for new Digi Postpaid Family and Digi Prepaid customers. You’ll have to get the physical SIM card first and then perform a SIM replacement after completing the registration.

If there’s a need to switch back to a physical SIM, Digi will allow you to do so but charges may apply. Do note that if you plan on switching to another eSIM device, you will need to request for a new eSIM QR code from the Digi Store.

Thanks Brandon from the RKMD group for the tip!
