Honor 20 Pro leaked press images confirm 48MP f/1.4 camera with OIS

Honor is launching its upcoming Honor 20 series and now we have a clearer look at the top of the line Honor 20 Pro thanks to serial leakster Roland Quandt. Similar to the Honor 20 that we’ve seen earlier, the Pro model also gets a quad-camera setup but it comes with better hardware.

As seen here, the Honor 20 Pro gets a 3 + 1 quad-camera layout with the label “AI QUAD CAMERA 48M 1:14/OIS ASPH”. This indicates that the main camera has a 48MP sensor (likely Sony IMX586) that comes with a larger f/1.4 aperture. On top of that, it also comes with OIS assistance.

As a comparison, the standard Honor 20 is said to come with a 48MP shooter with f/1.8. The latest image matches the leaked slides which had surfaced earlier this month. The slides revealed that the Honor 20 Pro will also come with a 16MP Ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP Telephoto camera with 3X Optical zoom and a 2MP macro camera.

According to Roland, the Honor 20 Pro is likely to feature a larger battery since the phone is thicker than the non-Pro model. Since it is a “Pro”, you can also expect more RAM and storage options than the Honor 20. The Honor 20 is expected to launch in Europe with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage in Europe.

As seen in the image above, the Honor 20 Pro also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that doubles as a power button. This is probably the first time Honor has implemented a side-mounted sensor and it is also offered on the standard Honor 20.

The rest of the specs isn’t revealed yet but we do know that the Honor 20 Pro will come with a 6.26″ punch-hole display. To stand out from the rest, the device will introduce a new Dynamic Holographic Design that uses a Triple 3D Mesh technology.

The Honor 20 series launch is taking place at 2PM in London which is at 9PM (Malaysian Time). You can watch the live stream via our Facebook page.
