Oppo has introduced yet another budget smartphone in Malaysia. Its new Oppo A5s offers a large display, dual-cameras and a huge 4,230mAh battery for less than RM600.

It features a 6.2″ LCD waterdrop screen that pushes a HD+ resolution of 1520×720 pixels. On the exterior, the mirror-finish back cover uses a 3D thermal-bending technology that curves on all four edges of the device.

Under the hood, it runs on a 2.3GHz MediaTek 6765 processor that comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. If you need more, the A5s also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot.

For taking photos, it has a 13MP + 2MP dual-camera setup that offers bokeh-licious portrait shots and a front 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera with AI beautification feature. The rear also gets a fingerprint sensor which claims to unlock in a mere 0.08 seconds.

Powering the A5s is a large 4,230mAh battery that charges via microUSB. Out of the box, it runs on ColorOS 5.2.1 that’s based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In Malaysia, the Oppo A5s is officially priced at RM599 and it comes in either Black or Red.

According to Oppo Malaysia, the device will be available starting 16th May on all Oppo concept stores and authorised dealers nationwide. The device will be offered on contract with Digi Postpaid 58.
