AirAsia offers extra late night flights with fixed fares for Kaamatan, Gawai and Raya season

End May and early June will be a busy season throughout Malaysia with Pesta Kaamatan, Gawai Dayak and Hari Raya happening back to back. To enable more Malaysians to fly home with low fares, AirAsia has announced additional late night flights with fixed fares as low as RM99 one-way.

For flights between Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar, Kota Bahru, Kuala Terengganu and Johor Bahru, a one-way trip costs RM99. Meanwhile, flights from West Malaysia to Sarawak costs RM149 for one-way while West Malaysia to Sabah is going for RM199 one-way. Fares quoted here are all-in-fares for BIG members for one-way travel inclusive of taxes and fees.

Do note that these fixed fares are applicable for bookings made from 30th April until 17th May 2019 and as usual, terms and conditions apply.

According to AirAsia Group CEO, Tony Fernandes, more than 115,000 additional seats will be made available during the festive period. He added that AirAsia is grateful to the government for their support in obtaining these flight approvals.

During the launch event, Minister of Transport, YB Loke Siew Fook, says that he’s pleased that AirAsia is increasing its flight frequencies during the festive seasons to keep the fares competitive and reasonable. He believes that it is important for the aviation players and the government to work together in making travelling affordable for everyone, and he’s pleased that AirAsia is supporting the government’s initiative.

As this is a busy period, guests are advised to arrive earlier to the airport and to anticipate congestion at security checkpoints and check-in counters. Passengers can check-in online from 14 days prior to the departure of all AirAsia flights.

For those who are departing from Senai International Airport in Johor Bahru, AirAsia encourages you to try their Fast Airport Clearance Experience System (FACES) which allows seamless boarding using facial recognition.
