SOCAR Malaysia adds Mazda CX-5 to its fleet

Need to drive a mid-sized SUV for the weekend? Car sharing provider, SOCAR, has added the Mazda CX-5 as its 20th vehicle option in Malaysia. At the moment, the five-seater vehicle is currently deployed in the Klang Valley.

The Mazda CX-5 can be booked from RM19.90/hour during weekdays or RM23.90/hour during weekends (before 6% SST). As usual, there’s free petrol mileage of 20KM for each hour of booking and excess mileage is charged at RM0.25 per KM. If you need to book it for a full day, your booking charges are capped for 12 hours (RM253.13/day including 6% SST).

From our quick check, the CX-5 is available at 163 Retail Park, Dataran Maybank, Crown Regency Hotel and Galaxy Ampang Mall. Apart from the CX-5, SOCAR has recently added the Honda Jazz to their fleet as well. If you need a larger SUV that seats seven, the Honda BR-V is also available.

If you’re new to SOCAR, you can sign up now to enjoy a free membership promo that’s currently running until 30th April 2019. The one-time membership free usually costs RM50 which is charged with your first booking. Just recently, SOCAR has also reduced the minimum age requirement from 21 years old to 19 years old.
