To help you with your entries, here are some tips and tricks to get the most out of your submissions. Good luck!
The Huawei P30 Pro is the first smartphone to feature a Leica Quad Camera System, including a 40MP Super Sensing camera. Together with an ultra-sensitive and revolutionary RYYB sensor, superior ISP (Image Signal Processing), and super-sensitive AI image engine, the Huawei P30 Pro’s camera has a maximum ISO sensitivity of 409,600 for clearer and sharper lowlight photography even under challenging extreme low-light conditions.
Maximise the SuperSpectrum technology:
One of the ways the Huawei P30 Pro is the ability to take pictures in challenging low-light conditions without the need for a tripod. All you need to do is simply press the shutter to capture a sharp, blur-free, highly detailed image in lowlight conditions. No complicated steps, no extra settings to fiddle with. Just look at the possibilities with the P30 Pro in your hands.
This image can fall under the following NEXT Image awards categories: Going the Distance, Hello, Life! and #Emotion Tag.
Through the innovative periscope lens design, the Huawei P30 Pro supports a high-fidelity magnification of 5X optical zoom, 10X hybrid zoom, and up to 50X zoom. A prism element in the telephoto camera bends light at a 90-degree angle to maximise focal length while minimising camera height, allowing the device design to slim. At the same time, with its superior optical image stabilisation technology (OIS), experience professional zoom functions without any additional equipment.
SuperZoom technology unlocked:
Capture amazing detail in your photo submissions with the Huawei P30 Pro’s unprecedented 50X zoom Capture a different perspective with details that were previously beyond your reach with the amazing zoom lens! Just choose your preferred zoom factor (‘1X’, ‘10X, ‘50X’, etc.) to take different shots from different angles.

The 20MP 16mm-equivalent ultra-wide angle lens in the Huawei P30 series can greatly increase the sense of space in an image without the need for you to take a step back. But this doesn’t mean that the tiny details are forgotten because you can also go in as close as 2.5cm away from your subject for some of the best macro photography.
Ultra-wide angle and super macro technology unlocked:
Pull the zoom slider back to 0.6X to enter the ultra-wide angle mode. When the distance between the camera and the object is at 2.5cm, the camera automatically enters the super macro mode, it’s that easy.
The Huawei P30 Pro’s ToF camera is best utilised for portrait photography. The sensor enables luscious bokeh effect without the need for an expensive DSLR camera and lens. The ToF sensor allows for better and precise separation between subject and foreground that helps eliminate stray strands of hair near the subject, imprecise blurred backgrounds and foregrounds for a more accurate bokeh effect.
ToF technology unlocked:
Just select the ‘Portrait’ mode and place your subject not more than 2 metres from the camera for the best bokeh effect.
Here’s where the Huawei P30 series is superior beyond its competitors. The P30 Pro’s AI-assisted photography – AI HDR+ – can identify elements in the frame such as faces, buildings, and the sun, to create an exposure map and intelligently apply that to both minimise blown highlights and brighten up shadows. Thus, the backlight of your subject is optimised for a more realistic and natural background that doesn’t look blown out or over-exposed.
Backlight portrait tips unlocked:
Select the ‘HDR’ mode where the camera will automatically adjust the image’s exposure. Wait for the focus on the subject to be clear before shooting the image. And that’s it!
Just for fun here are some sample images taken using the Huawei P30 Pro with its stupendous Super Macro mode.
So what are you waiting for? Whip out any of your Huawei smartphones and snap away. With these simple tips, it does all the work for you. Submit your entries now!
