Nokia 4.2 is now on sale in Malaysia

If you’re looking for a new budget smartphone, Nokia has just announced the arrival of its Nokia 4.2 in Malaysia. This is a sub-RM600 device that was launched alongside the Nokia 9 PureView.

The Facebook post didn’t reveal the full specs but according to retailer, DirectD, the Nokia 4.2 for Malaysia comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Nokia has mentioned that the device will be available starting today, 26th April 2019 and it is officially priced at RM599.

The Nokia 4.2 comes with a 5.71″ HD+ 19:9 display that comes with a small notch and it is running on a Snapdragon 439 processor. If the on-board 32GB storage isn’t enough, you can still expand it further via a microSD card. One of the key highlights is a dedicated button on the left which you can press to trigger Google Assistant. On top of that, the side power button is also illuminated and it doubles up as a notification LED.

For taking pictures, it has a 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.2 dual-camera setup at the back while the front comes with an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. The device also packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it also supports Face Unlock.

Powering the Nokia 4.2 is a 3,000mAh battery which charges via a microUSB port. Out of the box, it runs on Android 9 Pie and since this is an Android One device, Nokia promises 3 years of monthly security updates.

If you’re interested, you can get it at your nearest authorised Nokia dealer.
