Lazada offers the Redmi Note 7 with up to 30 months warranty

The Redmi Note 7 goes on sale in Malaysia starting this coming Wednesday, 27th March 2019. If you’re looking for greater peace of mind, Lazada is offering the Redmi Note 7 with free LazadaCare Plus protection. This additional add-on plan not only provides an extended warranty but it also covers accidental damage as well.

The LazadaCare Plus offers 12-months extended warranty for the Redmi Note 7. Since the device already comes with an 18-months manufacturer warranty, you’re getting a total of 30 months warranty if you purchase your unit from the official Mi Store on Lazada Malaysia.

Based on the LazadaCare Plus page, the extra protection plan covers accidental damage which includes screen or lens crack including liquid damage. It also covers electrical and mechanic defects. If the cost of repair exceeds the price of the product, they will replace your product for a new one. Lazada also mentions that if the product is no longer available, store credits will be given instead.

The Redmi Note 7 comes in three RAM and storage options and they are priced as follows:

3GB RAM + 32GB storage – RM679
4GB RAM + 64GB storage – RM799
4GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM949

According to the Redmi Note 7 product page on Lazada, it appears that this LazadaCare Plus offer is only valid on their exclusive 3GB RAM + 32GB storage base model. It is only offered for one day only on 27th March 2019. This means that if you purchase the higher 64GB and 128GB storage versions, you’re just getting the standard 18-months warranty with no additional protection.
