Realme 3 is launching in Malaysia on 21 March

If you’re looking for a budget smartphone, the Realme 3 is coming to Malaysia very soon. The Oppo sub-brand had revealed the device earlier this week and it gets a more powerful mid-range processor compared to its current Realme 2.

Realme Malaysia has sent out invites for a Realme 3 launch event and it’s happening on Thursday, 21st March 2019. We don’t have other details yet but looking at the current Realme 2 pricing, it should be priced under RM800.

To recap, the Realme 3 comes with a 6.22″ HD+ display that has a tiny notch and it runs on a MediaTek Helio P70 processor. For taking pictures, it gets a 13MP f/1.8 + 2MP dual-camera setup while selfies are taken with its 13MP f/2.0 front facing shooter.

Powering the Realme 3 is a 4,230mAh battery that still charges via microUSB. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with OPPO’s own ColorOS 6.0 skin on top.

In India, the Realme 3 with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage is priced at Rs 8,999 (around RM 518) while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at (around RM 633).

There will be a Realme 3 Pro that’s coming out next month and this will compete with the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. The Realme 3 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor and it features a higher resolution 48MP main camera.

Stay tuned to us for the latest Realme 3 updates from the Malaysian launch event.
