Huawei Mate 20 Pro price reduced to RM2,999 from RM3,599

One of our favourite phones at the moment, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is getting a massive RM600 price cut from its original price of RM3,599 to a very attractive RM2,999. The price reduction is for the 6GB RAM+128GB onboard memory version and will take effect from March 1 onwards.

The device with the new reduced price can be purchased at all Huawei Experience Stores, authorized dealers, major telcos as well as at Huawei’s Online Store, here.

One of the best cameras you can get right now

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has one of the best cameras you can get on a smartphone right now. On DxOmark the Mate 20 Pro sits on the number one spot with an overall score of 109 points. The Mate 20 Pro shares the same DxOMark score as its sibling, the P20 Pro but the Mate20 Pro has one a feature that sets it apart from the P20 Pro — a wide angle camera.

The wide-angle camera makes the Mate 20 Pro a very useful tool when taking pictures especially in tight spaces where you don’t have enough room to stand far away enough from a subject to capture the whole scene.

Feature-packed

The Mate 20 Pro features a 6.39-inch dual-curved AMOLED display and a top of the line Kirin 980 processor. The device packs a triple-camera setup that has a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom. It is powered by one of the largest batteries in a flagship smartphone — a 4,200mAh battery that supports a powerful 40W SuperCharge fast-charging capability via USB-C. In our test, we were able to charge the device from 2% to full capacity in just under one hour. 30 minutes on the plug yield about a 70% charge.

The Mate 20 managed a respectable six hours of screen-on-time and a whopping 14 hours of usage between charge.
