This year Samsung will be introducing a cheaper Galaxy S10 model which will be called the Galaxy S10e. Unlike its more expensive siblings, the S10e gets a smaller 5.8″ display that isn’t curved around the edges.
To stand out from the rest, the Galaxy S10e will be getting a bright yellow colour option. For a clearer look, here are several high-resolution renders from serial leakster Roland Quandt.
Based on the leaked spec-sheet, the Galaxy S10e will come with a Full HD+ Infinity-O display that has a punch-hole on the top right corner. Instead of an in-display fingerprint sensor, the S10e gets a side-mounted sensor that’s placed on the right side of the device.
Powering the device is a flagship class Exynos 9820 processor and it will come in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
For taking pictures, it gets two cameras at the rear which consists of a 12MP f/1.5 main + 16MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. The front of the device comes with a 10MP f/1.9 camera that is capable of shooting 4K videos.
The leaked spec-sheet also lists a 3,100mAh battery which charges via USB-C. Similar to the Galaxy S10 and S10+, the S10e is also expected to support reverse wireless charging where you can charge other devices wirelessly without requiring cables.
Like previous Galaxy S models, we expect the S10e to come with IP68 dust and water resistance plus a headphone jack. Apart from Canary Yellow, the Galaxy S10e will also come in Prism White, Prism Green and Prism Black. We expect pre-orders for the Galaxy S10e to be available right after the global Unpacked event which is happening at 3am on 21st February 2019, Malaysian time.
