Smartphone cameras 2019: Dual vs triple vs quad vs penta

The dual camera revolution was one that changed the way smartphones implemented camera systems. It also spawned this notion that a dual camera smartphone was inherently better than a single camera smartphone because…well, there were two cameras instead of one. But, this has also led to the rise of multi-camera smartphones, with each manufacturer attempting to add more and more camera modules to the back of their devices.
