BSN’s ATM system is up and running again

Over 48 hours after BSN’s entire banking system went down, finally some good news for BSN customers. The bank announced via its Facebook page that its ATM system is up and running again.

In the same post BSN also announced that its ATMs will remain operational until 2am tomorrow (22 Jan 2019).

From 22 January onwards, BSN ATM machines will operate as per its normal operating hours which is from 7am to 11:45pm daily.

At the moment, there is no indication if BSN’s other affected services have recovered from the massive systems error.

On 19 January, BSN’s entire banking system was down causing virtually all of BSN’s banking services to be unavailable to its customers. The issue has caused services at BSN branches, ATMs, CDMs, MEPS, MyBSN and BSN Bank Agents BSN (EB BSN) to be unavailable since late Friday evening.

BSN’s Chief Executive Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani issued an apology for the inconvenienced cause but have said very little else about the cause and preventive measures to be taken by the bank to prevent such a catastrophe from happening again.
