Tencent Gaming is organising the country’s first ever PUBG Mobile tournament offering up a RM60,000 prize pool. The tournament will begin with state qualifiers in Johor, Sabah, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur from 22 December 2018 to 12 January 2019.
The best four teams from each qualifying round (a total of 16 teams) will then duke it out in the grand finals on 26 January in Kuala Lumpur.
Jointly sponsored by Vivo and Yoodo, the two brands will offer up prizes in addition to the pool. Vivo will be providing 16 units of the Vivo V11i smartphone while Yoodo will supply a whole year’s worth of mobile connectivity for each of the devices.
This competition is part of an effort to create a competitive community through PUBG Mobile by Tencent Games. We hope this act will get nationwide support, so that new talents in esports will grow in numbers.
