Leaked Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Lite cases reveal several design details

We’ve seen a number of leaked renders of the Galaxy S10+ and this could be Samsung’s first flagship smartphone to come with a quad-camera setup at the rear. On top of that, there’s also the Galaxy S10 and an even smaller Galaxy S10 Lite.

Before the devices are expected to be announced early next year, a couple of cases have leaked online which gives us a rough idea of what the S10 and S10 Lite could look like.

Samsung Galaxy S10

Similar to the “Plus” model, the S10 will still feature a horizontal camera module like the new Note series. Based on Ghostek’s case render that was shared by Forbes, the Galaxy S10 will come with three cameras at the rear which could give it the ability to take ultra-wide-angle shots. The lack of a physical fingerprint sensor tells us that it will also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.

However, there’s also another leaked case by serial leakster @UniverseIce which reveals a dual-camera design instead for the Galaxy S10.

The design with just two cameras might just be a mockup and it might not be an actual representation of the Galaxy S10. @UniverseIce has also shared a hands-on video of a purported Galaxy S10 case. The cutout hole for the rear appears to be wide enough to fit triple-cameras together along with the additional sensors for a heart rate sensor.

In case you’re wondering, Samsung is still retaining a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom, which is good news for audio enthusiasts.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite

@UniverseIce has also shared an image of a casing for the Galaxy S10 Lite. From the picture above, the S10 Lite will also get a similar horizontal camera cut out but for two cameras. On top of that, the display appears to be flat unlike its bigger siblings which has a dual-curved display.

Being a “Lite” version, it appears that this model will not have an in-display fingerprint sensor. Instead, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that’s placed on the right side of the phone which also doubles up as a power button. This is somewhat similar to Samsung’s new Galaxy A7 (2018).

In case you missed it, the Galaxy S10+ screen size is expected to be 6.4″ while the Galaxy S10 gets a 6.1″ display. Meanwhile, the S10 Lite comes with a smaller 5.8″ which is the same size as the current Galaxy S9.
