You can now buy the honor Magic 2 in Malaysia

The honor Magic 2 is an all-screen smartphone that also hides its front cameras with a sliding mechanism. On top of that, it even has a total of 6 cameras as it uses a triple-camera array for both front and back.

At the moment, the honor Magic 2 is only sold in China but if you can’t wait to get your hands on one, it is now available in Malaysia via grey importer DirectD.

Currently, the honor Magic 2 is only offered with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, and it’s going for RM2,799. As a comparison, this exact model is priced at 4,299CNY (about RM2,582) in China.

UPDATE: The higher spec 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is also available at RM3,199.

To recap on the specs, the honor Magic 2 features a 6.39″ AMOLED Full View display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. If you prefer to unlock the device with your finger, the unit also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Powering the device is a top of the line Kirin 980 processor with dual NPU.  This is the same processor that’s found on the latest Huawei Mate 20 series. For imaging, it gets a triple camera setup at the rear which consist of a 16MP f/1.8 main camera, a 24MP f/1.8 monochrome shooter and a 16MP f/2.2 wide-angle lens. For selfies, the slider houses a triple camera setup that comes with a 16MP f/2.0 main selfie shooter and two additional 2MP f/2.4 cameras for depth sensing.

The honor Magic 2 gets a larger battery than the Mi MIX 3. It has a 3,500mAh capacity battery that supports 40W Magic Charge, which is basically honor’s version of Huawei SuperCharge 2.0. According to honor, the Magic 2 can be charged up to 50% in just 15 minutes and it can hit the 85% mark in just 30 minutes. You can learn more about the device in our announcement post.

If you’re interested, you can place your orders with DirectD and they have it in either red or blue. Prefer the Mi MIX 3 with a Snapdragon 845 processor? They are also offering it for RM2,399. Take note that these are not official local units and they come with a 1-year in-house warranty.
