The honor Magic 2 is an all-screen smartphone that also hides its front cameras with a sliding mechanism. On top of that, it even has a total of 6 cameras as it uses a triple-camera array for both front and back.
At the moment, the honor Magic 2 is only sold in China but if you can’t wait to get your hands on one, it is now available in Malaysia via grey importer DirectD.
Currently, the honor Magic 2 is only offered with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, and it’s going for RM2,799. As a comparison, this exact model is priced at 4,299CNY (about RM2,582) in China.
UPDATE: The higher spec 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is also available at RM3,199.
To recap on the specs, the honor Magic 2 features a 6.39″ AMOLED Full View display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution. If you prefer to unlock the device with your finger, the unit also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Powering the device is a top of the line Kirin 980 processor with dual NPU. This is the same processor that’s found on the latest Huawei Mate 20 series. For imaging, it gets a triple camera setup at the rear which consist of a 16MP f/1.8 main camera, a 24MP f/1.8 monochrome shooter and a 16MP f/2.2 wide-angle lens. For selfies, the slider houses a triple camera setup that comes with a 16MP f/2.0 main selfie shooter and two additional 2MP f/2.4 cameras for depth sensing.
The honor Magic 2 gets a larger battery than the Mi MIX 3. It has a 3,500mAh capacity battery that supports 40W Magic Charge, which is basically honor’s version of Huawei SuperCharge 2.0. According to honor, the Magic 2 can be charged up to 50% in just 15 minutes and it can hit the 85% mark in just 30 minutes. You can learn more about the device in our announcement post.
