The Huawei Y9 2019 is a new mid-range smartphone that offers a big screen and a large battery for under RM1,000. The device will be available in Malaysia starting this Sunday, 11 November 2018. However, you can get it at a much lower price if you purchase a special coupon before the 11.11 sale.
Before the sale begins, Huawei is currently offering coupons which you can use as a rebate on all Huawei smartphones (except for Mate 20 series), laptops and tablets during the 11.11 sale on their online store. For maximum savings, you can purchase a RM250 coupon for only RM50. The coupons are offered until 10 November and while stocks last.
The Huawei Y9 2019 officially retails for RM899 in Malaysia. If you get the RM250 voucher at RM50, you’ll only need to pay RM649 for the device during the 11.11 sale. Effectively, you’re only paying RM699 which is quite a substantial discount.
In Malaysia, there’s only one spec option with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Fortunately, you can get more storage with a microSD card. The Y9 2019 has a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera combo upfront while the rear gets a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup that also has AI assisted scene recognition.
The device also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it comes with a huge 4,000mAh battery which charges via microUSB. Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 8.1 that’s still based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Huawei Y9 2019 will be available in Sapphire Blue and Black. If you’re interested, you can purchase the device on the Huawei online store on 11.11.
