The Huawei Nova 3i will be getting a very useful camera feature update in the form of the AI Image Stabilisation (AIS) Handheld Super Night Mode in November via an OTA update. The Nova 3 was the first device amongst the Nova series to get the Super Night Shot feature earlier this month. The update will be released to the Nova 3i in batches starting 1st November 2018.
First seen in the Huawei P20 series, the AIS Super Night Mode is unique to Huawei devices and it is proven to be a really useful tool, especially when taking pictures in low light. Where typically you need a tripod to keep your pictures crisp and blur-free AIS Super Night Mode makes it possible to shoot in challenging low-light conditions without the need of a tripod. The feature taps into Huawei AI tech that combines handheld detection, light detection, anti-shake processing as well as other parameters to produce bright and clear low light images. The mode makes it possible for you to take a 6-second long exposure or multi-frame composite night scene without using a tripod.
The Huawei Nova 3i features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that pushes a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. Under the hood, is a 12nm Kirin 710 processor that’s paired with 4GB of RAM and a generous 128GB. If that’s not enough, you can always add more storage via a microSD card of up to an additional 128GB. Keeping the lights on is a 3,340mAh battery that charges via micro USB.
In the camera department, the Nova 3i has a 16MP +2MP dual camera combo at the rear while the front gets a 24MP +2MP dual selfie camera with AI recognition and HDR Pro feature. To learn more about the device, you can check out our first-impression post here.
The Huawei Nova 3i comes in two-tone Iris Purple, White and Black. The handset is priced at RM1,299. If you are interested, you can get the Nova 3i at your nearest Huawei Experience Stores and authorized dealers. For every purchase made, you will also be receiving a Nova Privilege card that offers exclusive gifts and vouchers worth up to RM1,000. More info on the deal, visit their website here.
