Huawei’s Mate 20 & Mate 20 Pro will go on sale in Malaysia next weekend

If you’ve been eyeing Huawei‘s brand new Mate 20 smartphones, there’s good news because now I can tell you how much you will need to pony up if you want to get one of these flagship devices in your hands. Huawei’s bringing all three Mate 20 devices into Malaysia, but they will be a little more pricey than you may expect.

Huawei Mate 20 & Mate 20 Pro

Huawei’s Mate 20 will be retailing for RM2,799 — in two colours Black and Blue — and for that money you’ll be getting the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Mate 20 Pro, on the other hand, will retail for RM3,599 and will also come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, with the choice of a Black, Twilight or Green colourway.

This phone will be available from the 27th of October 2018 onward at authorised Huawei Malaysia retailers. Additionally, each purchase off the Huawei Mate 20 will also come with a Huawei SoundStone Bluetooth speaker while the Mate 20 Pro will be bundled with Huawei’s new 15W wireless charger while stocks last.

However, if you want to secure your device as soon as possible, Huawei Malaysia will be receiving pre-orders for both smartphones between the 19th and 22nd of October 2018. Pre-order customers will receive a free Huawei TalkBand B5 worth RM699.

If you’re hardworking and feel like queuing up, Huawei Malaysia will be having a special sales launch event from the 27th to the 28th of October 2018 at Queensbay Mall, Penang, Pavilion KL, and Aeon Bandar Dato Onn, Johor Bahru. If you’re among the first 1,000 customers to buy a Mate 20 device at Pavilion, and first 300 customers at the other two locations, you will also receive a free DJI Tello drone worth RM469.

Technically, you can get all three tiers of gifts if you pre-order the Mate 20, head to one of the three sales event locations and are among the first 1,000 or first 300 to pick up your device. It’s a lot of effort, but it is theoretically possible.

Oh, customers who purchase the Mate 20 will also be able to enjoy Mate VIP Rewards worth up to RM10,000.

Huawei Mate 20 X

Want something bigger? Huawei Malaysia will also be bringing in the 7.2-inch behemoth of a smartphone, the Huawei Mate 20 X, but they will do so early next month on the 11th of November 2018. This phone is priced at RM3,199 and will also come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, purchases of the Mate 20 X will come with a free flip case and the RM158 M-Pen. It will come in two colourways: Blue and Phantom Silver.

Unfortunately, there are no details on whether this phone will be up for pre-orders, but you can stay tuned for those updates.

Huawei Watch GT & TalkBand B5

Besides smartphones, Huawei’s Watch GT and TalkBand B5 will also be going on sale on the 27th of October 2018. For now, only the Huawei Watch GT Classic will be available during that time and it is priced at RM999, while the TalkBand B5 will retail for RM699.
