You can pre-order the ROG Phone from ASUS Malaysia tomorrow

To say that we’ve waited a long time for the ASUS ROG Phone is a bit of an understatement. But, there is finally more good news as ASUS Malaysia will be receiving pre-orders for their brand new gaming smartphone tomorrow!

The only catch is that it’s a blind pre-order.

Yup, ASUS will begin receiving pre-orders from the 16th of October 2018 onward online at Shopee, but they will not reveal the price just yet. Instead, you will have to drop an RM999 deposit if you’re interested in securing the smartphone for yourself.

The good news is that if you pre-order this smartphone during this period, there will be a lucky draw mystery gift for you. Unfortunately, as its name would suggest, ASUS hasn’t revealed what the gift would be, though we’d hope that it would be one of the cool accessories that launched with the phone.

So, if you’re interested in being one of the first to own an ROG Phone, you can head on over to Shopee and place your pre-order tomorrow.

Of course, they’re not the only ones accepting pre-orders for this highly anticipated smartphone. Grey importer DirectD is also accepting pre-orders for the ROG Phone on their website and their device also comes with official ASUS Malaysia warranty. What’s more, you will only need to drop an RM500 deposit with them and you will also receive a “free exclusive gift”.

If you prefer to take the highway to the danger zone, you can pick up an import set from Mobile 2 Go who have ready stocks so you can walk in, pick it up and walk out. Needless to say, I do not recommend picking up import set because of the various complications that come with that, so proceed at your discretion.

To recap, the ASUS ROG Phone is supposed to be the high-end gaming smartphone. Therefore, it comes with a 6″ Full HD+ OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time that’s flanked by two loud front-facing stereo speakers. Inside, it’s powered by a speed-binned Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clocked at 2.96GHz with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of internal storage.

Keeping the lights on is a 4,000 mAh battery that you can charge via any one of their TWO USB-C ports. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, a sick-looking nickel plated cooler and a dual-camera 16MP + 12MP setup at the back.
