The iPhone XS #ChargeGate issue has finally come to an end as Apple has released a fix with its minor iOS 12.01 software update. This also solves other issues related to WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
According to the change log, iOS 12.0.1 will fix an issue where some iPhone XS do not charge when it’s plugged to a lightning cable. It also solves an issue where some iPhone XS units kept on connecting to a 2.4GHz network instead of 5GHz.
For the iPad, the iOS 12.0.1 update fixes the position of the “.?123” key on the on-screen keyboard. It also addresses problems with video subtitles and Bluetooth being unavailable.
The update is about 157MB in size and if you don’t set iOS to Auto Update, you can download it under Settings > General > Software update.
