POCOPHONE F1 Armoured Edition available in Malaysia on 27 September

UPDATE: The POCOPHONE F1 Armoured Edition is also available at the Mi Store in 1Utama.

If you’ve been waiting for the POCOPHONE F1 Armoured Edition, this special edition variant will go on sale in Malaysia next week. For those who didn’t know, POCOPHONE is Xiaomi’s latest sub-brand that focuses on delivering top spec flagship hardware at a much lower price point.

Stocks are very limited and it will be available only at the Mi Store at Sunway Pyramid and Sutera Mall, Johor on 27 September 2018. It’s priced at RM1,599 and the retains the same specs as the regular POCOPHONE. You get a 6.18″ Full HD+ display, a Snapdragon 845 processor, a large 4,000mAh battery and it also retains a headphone jack. You can learn more in our hands-on or watch our video below:

Looking at the price tag, this appears to be a similar variant to Indonesia which comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. As a comparison, the Armoured Edition in India is retailing for INR29,999 (about RM1,716) and that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

So at RM1,599, you’re basically getting the same phone as the RM1,499 version (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) but it comes with a better looking kelvar back design instead of polycarbonate. Would you spend RM100 extra for the Armoured Edition? Let us know in the comments below.

UPDATE: The POCOPHONE F1 Armoured Edition is available with limited units at the physical Mi Store in 1Utama.
