Shortly after IFA 2018, French mobile brand Wiko has released two brand-new handsets into the Malaysian market, and one of them happens to have a similar colour scheme to the Huawei P20 Pro. Curious to know what these devices are? Well, I’m here to break it down for you.
So let’s start off with the View2 Plus. The View2 Plus is a more affordable version of the View2 Pro. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. If that’s not enough, you can always add more space via a microSD card. This device also features a notched 5.93-inch HD+ IPS display that pushes a resolution of 1512×720 pixels. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery.
What’s interesting about the View2 Plus is its gradient finish back and it is pretty much similar to the Huawei P20 Pro’s Twilight colourway. It has this color gradient that transforms from teal to deep purple, which I think is really cool. So if you are looking for a device which has a Huawei P20 Pro paint job that won’t cost you a fortune, here you go.
For capturing pictures and recording videos, the View2 Plus offers a dual rear camera module with a 12MP primary and 5MP secondary sensor. At the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera.
The View2 Plus will be priced at RM559 and you can get it from Wiko’s official store on Lazada. Customers who purchased Wiko smartphones will be eligible to get a one year warranty as well as 120 days replacement which allows you to perform one to one exchange if you are experiencing hardware failures.
If you do not fancy the Twilight shade on the Wiko View2 Plus, you can consider the Tommy3 Plus which is a Plus model for the Tommy3. For a retail price of RM399, the device features a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1440×720. Powering the device is a 2,900mAh battery. Under the hood, it runs on a quad-core MediaTek MT6739WA processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card. For camera optics, the Tommy3 Plus packs a single 13MP camera at the rear and a 5MP camera at the front.
If you are interested in this device, you can secure a unit at your nearest Wiko authorised outlet. Similar to the View2 Plus, you will also get a one year warranty and a 120 days replacement warranty programme with one to one exchange.
