ASUS ZenFone Max Pro with 4GB RAM delayed but you’ll get something extra

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro is one of the most interesting sub-RM1,000 smartphones in Malaysia right now. Not only it packs great specs for the price but it’s also the first ASUS smartphone to run on stock Android.

If you’ve ordered the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version, ASUS Malaysia has just announced that there will be a delay of shipment until the middle of next month.

As a small token, ASUS will be bundling a complimentary 32GB microSD card for customers that have placed their pre-order earlier this month. According to their Facebook post, you will receive your ZenFone Max Pro 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model on 10 July onwards, which is two weeks from now.

The ZenFone Max Pro comes in three spec options – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB of storage. To recap, the device comes with a 5.99″ Full HD+ display and it runs on a Snapdragon 636 processor which is similar to the Redmi Note 5. In the camera department, it has a 13MP + 5MP dual camera setup at the rear, while the front comes with an 8MP selfie camera. Powering the device is a huge 5,000mAh battery which charges via micro USB.

The ZenFone Max Pro 4GB RAM version is officially priced at RM849 but it was sold at RM799 during the pre-order sales period. For more info, you can check out our announcement post.
