SOCAR Malaysia has just introduced a new promo which allows you to unlock a sedan at a lower rate. From now until 1st July, you can drive a Honda City or a Toyota Vios from as little as RM8/hour or RM80/day.
For short commutes, you can also book a Perodua Axia at RM7/hour or you can shuttle your lunch buddies with a 7-seat Perodua Alza for the same rate. Below are the hourly rates for the promo vehicles and there are no coupon codes required:
Perodua Axia RM7/hour (Weekday) / RM12.00/hour (Weekend)
Perodua Alza RM7/hour (Weekday) / RM12.00/hour (Weekend)
Toyota Vios RM8/hour (Weekday) / RM12.50/hour (Weekend)
Honda City RM8/hour (Weekday) / RM12.50/hour (Weekend)
To recap, SOCAR is a car sharing platform where you can book the car with petrol included at hourly or daily rates. For a full day (24-hours), you’ll be charged for 10 hours of usage. You can consider this as a car rental on demand and the entire experience is keyless as it uses the app to unlock the car. The cars are scattered throughout the Klang Valley and they have a variety of cars on their fleet.
Below are the rates for other SOCAR vehicles:
Perodua Myvi – RM12.90/hour (Weekday) / RM16.00/hour (Weekend)
VW Polo – RM13.90/hour (Weekday) / RM17.00/hour (Weekend)
Honda HRV – RM17.00/hour (Weekday) / RM25.00/hour (Weekend)
Toyota Altis – RM19.00/hour (Weekday) / RM25.00/hour (Weekend)
Mini Cooper – RM30.00/hour (Weekday) / RM38/hour (Weekend)
BMW 330e – RM42.00/hour (Weekday) / RM48/hour (Weekend)
If you haven’t tried SOCAR yet, you can download the app on your Android and iOS device.
