Want to be an advocate that tackles global social issues? Telenor wants you

I believe each and every one of us has a calling in our lives. Some are meant to do great things, some are meant to serve others and some have a special burden to address the social issue in today’s world.

If you aged between 20-28 and have a burning desire to make a difference, this program might just be something that you should apply for.

Every year, Telenor group will organise the Telenor Youth Forum with the collaboration of Noble Peace Center (NPC). This is a long-term program that aims to tackle important social challenges that are happening all around the world via digital solutions.

Digi is currently searching for two inspiring youths to represent Malaysia and to join the young leaders from seven of Telenor’s markets across the world to participate in its sixth Telenor Youth Forum (TYF). This youth forum will require a whole year of commitment from the participants in working together to develop an idea, product, services or campaign that will address the urgent social challenges that are assigned to them.

Selected youths will start their assigned projects at a kickoff event held in Oslo in December 2018. Along the way, they will work together on a virtual platform and they will be required to present their final pitch in an exhibition with the Noble Peace Center, in an all-expenses-paid gathering that will be happening in Bangkok, May 2019.

Throughout the process, the delegates will also receive guidance and mentorship from Telenor Group subject matter experts. Mentors from TYF will equip the delegates with real-world skills such as service design, prototyping, presenting, exhibiting and pitching, in addition to insights on issues that can only be gained through hands-on experience.

At the end of each TYF, a winning team is selected and funds of 100,000 Norwegian Kroner (RM50,000) is provided through their Telenor mentor as seed funding to make their ideas come to life.

TYF aims to build young changemakers all around the world to by taking advantage of the use of digital platform and technology we have today. This is a very good exposure for the youths and a great way to impart good values and ideas to the future generation.

If you fit the descriptions, you’re qualified to participate.

So, are you up for the challenge? Are you ready to make a difference in this world? If you’re up for it here’s how you can sign up.
