The Malaysian 14th General Election is taking place on 9 May 2018 and many are expected to return home to cast their votes. As there’s an increase in demand, AirAsia will be adding more domestic flights and are deploying larger aircraft with more seating capacity.
According to AirAsia, they are adding 120 additional flights between 7 to 10 May. 20 of these flights will be utilising their Airbus A330 aircraft that has 377 seats. Below is the full list of additional flights.

In terms of fares, AirAsia is extending its special fixed fares to include 7th May 2018. If you haven’t booked your flights yet, you can now enjoy a fixed fare of RM99 for flights within Peninsular Malaysia or within East Malaysia, RM129 for flights between Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak and RM199 for flights between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. The special fares are only applicable between 7 to 10 May 2018 for new bookings only and subject to availability.
