UPDATE: The honor 9 lite is officially announced in Malaysia. Priced at RM749.
The honor 9 Lite will be anounced in Malaysia tomorrow and it will be exclusive to Shopee Malaysia. This will be honor’s new compact “FullView’ smartphone that has a total of four cameras.
When it comes to pricing, the honor 9 Lite is expected to be priced lower than the honor 7X which is currently retailing for RM1,099. According to a teaser by Shopee as shown below, the honor 9 Lite appears to be priced at RM749.
According to Amanz, the same device is surprisingly shown to be worth RM899 each. It isn’t clear which is the actual price and if honor Malaysia is offering two different specs. The honor 9 Lite is available with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and with either 32GB or 64GB of storage. We will be at the launch tomorrow so stay tuned to us for the official price and availability.
UPDATE: Looks like Shopee is playing around by putting random prices for its Unlock the Code game.
To recap on the specs, it has a 5.65″ Full HD+ display and it runs on a Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor which is the same unit that’s powering the Huawei Nova 2i and honor 7X. For imaging, it gets a 13MP + 2MP camera combo for both front and back. Powering the honor 9 Lite is a 3,000mAh battery and it runs on the latest Android 8.0 with EMUI 8.0 skin on top.
If you want to check out the device yourself, they will be displaying the honor 9 Lite at Nu Sentral starting from 1PM tomorrow (6 March 2018).
