Maxis offers the Samsung Galaxy S9 from RM2,099 on MaxisONE plan

Pre-orders are now open for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in Malaysia, and if you prefer to get it on contract, both are now available on Maxis postpaid contract from as low as RM2,099. For those who prefer to get the device in monthly instalments and RM0 cash upfront, it’s also available on the Zerolution program from RM97/month.

On Maxis, they are only offering two models at the moment – the Galaxy S9 with 64GB of storage and the Galaxy S9+ with 128GB of storage. There are 3 colours available – Midnight Black, Coral Blue and Lilac Purple. Both devices are tied with a 24-month contract with either MaxisONE Plan 128, 158 and 188. Below is the price on contract.

Both devices would require an upfront payment of RM516 (MaxisONE 128), RM834 (MaxisONE 158) or RM954 (MaxisONE 188) which wil be used to rebate your upcoming bills. However, if you’re a loyal Maxis customer with good payment records, this upfront payment will be waived and you can check your eligibility when you’re logged in to the online store with your MaxisID.

For those who don’t want to spend money upfront, there’s Maxis Zerolution. It’s also available on MaxisONE 128, 158 and 188, and below are the monthly instalments.

To swap your smartphone each year, you would need to top up RM44/month for the Zerolution upgrade fee. When compared to the standard contract plans, the cost of ownership is higher if you calculate the total amount paid for 24-months. It is still recommended to go for the standard contract plans for greater savings.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ pre-order is running from now until 4th March 2018 and they are bundling a free Harman Kardon Bluetooth wireless speaker while stocks last. The Galaxy S9 64GB is officially priced at RM3,299, while the Galaxy S9+ 128GB version is going for RM3,999. For more info, visit the Maxis Galaxy S9/S9+ pre-order page.
