Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+ will be available for pre-order in Malaysia this week

You’ve seen the launch. You know what’s up with the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. It’s a killer smartphone and if you’re eager to part with your money, the good news if you’re in Malaysia is that you can do so as early as next month.

Yup, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9+ will go up for pre-orders from the 1-4 March 2018. Customers who pre-order the phones will get a free Harman Kardon Bluetooth speaker worth RM699. Malaysia’s getting four different variants:

Galaxy S9 64GB — RM3,299
Galaxy S9+ 64GB — RM3,799
Galaxy S9+ 128GB — RM3,999
Galaxy S9+ 256GB — RM4,399

UPDATE: The Galaxy S9+ 64GB is priced at RM3,799, not RM3,699 as reported earlier.

Stocks will be hitting shelves on the 16th of March 2018 with three different colour variants: Coral Blue, Midnight Black and Lilac Purple. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy S9 64GB retains the same launch price tag as the Galaxy S8 64GB. The Galaxy S9+ 64GB, however, costs RM100 more than the Galaxy S8+ 64GB but the device now comes with dual-cameras and has 6GB of RAM.

Apart from Samsung, pre-orders for the Galaxy S9 & S9+ are also available at Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile, Yes, Harvey Norman, SenQ/Senheng, 11street, Lazada and Shopee. You can secure your unit by placing a RM300 deposit at Samsung Malaysia’s pre-order page.

Highlight features of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ include an advanced camera module with a variable aperture lens and the ability to shoot 960fps super slow-motion footage. It also gets a more advanced biometric unlocking system that combines facial recognition and iris recognition. Samsung has also included a pair of Dolby Atmos stereo speakers which are tuned by AKG.
